packs and prices

Pick the pack the plan needs.
Change it as you go.

Every pack includes the rhythm: a one-page report, a monthly meeting I run, and answers between meetings. Packs run from $1,000 to $10,000 a month, ex GST, month to month.

the packs

Four packs, one rhythm. More days when there's more to fix.

A full-time CTO and COO in Sydney: $460,000+ a year in salary and super, before any bonus. Two days a month of one person who's done both: $5,000 a month.

The rhythm

$1,000 a month, ex GST

For a small team starting out, or when your team does the hands-on work.

  • The monthly rhythm, remote
  • Questions answered between meetings
  • Built to be where you end up

One day a month

$3,000 a month, ex GST

For steady months, one fix at a time.

  • The rhythm, plus one day
  • 8 hours, on site or remote
  • Can be split into half days
Suggested for the first 90 days

Two days a month

$5,000 a month, ex GST

For getting steady: your 12-month plan built, the obvious risks closed, the first fixes done.

  • The rhythm, plus two days
  • 16 hours a month
  • At least one day on site

A day a week

$10,000 a month, ex GST

For the stretches when a lot has to change at once.

  • The rhythm, plus the same day every week
  • Four or five days, depending on the month
  • On site every week

On site when it's useful. Each pack says how much.

I take on a small number of businesses at a time, and your days are booked ahead.

Works alongside your accountant or virtual CFO: they own the books and the forecast, and I build the plan on them.

Dial up with a week's notice: move up a pack, or add days for a busy stretch. Move down or stop with 30 days' notice. No exit fees. Unused days roll over.

Full-time cost: Robert Walters Salary Guide 2026 (Sydney CTO, low end, $225,000), Indeed (COO average, Australia, Sep 2026, $188,590), plus 12% super. Before recruitment fees, payroll tax, bonus or equity.

what a month of the rhythm looks like

The rhythm runs all month. The meeting is one part of it.

    The prep

The numbers pulled and checked, the one-page report written, the plan kept current.

ways to start

Not ready for a pack? Start with a fixed price.

Both are one-off and ex GST, with the price agreed before I start. If a pack makes sense afterwards, you'll know which one and why. Smaller team? The 90-minute AI working session, $500 ex GST, is the smallest way to start.

Two days under the hood

$4,000 fixed, ex GST

Suits: owners who'd rather see it properly before committing to a pack. It doesn't commit you to anything.

A day in your business and a day on the numbers, then a 90-minute read-out.

What you get: one page

  • Where the money goes, and what's exposed
  • What's eating your team's week
  • What to fix first, and what it costs
  • An honest view on whether you need me at all

IT and software bill check

$2,000 fixed, ex GST

Suits: businesses with an IT provider, a stack of subscriptions, or both, and nobody senior checking.

I go through your IT provider's contract, your licences and every subscription.

What you get: a keep, cut or renegotiate list

The money is usually in the IT provider contract. The time is in the software.

  • A better contract
  • Fewer tools that talk to each other
  • No savings percentage promised

I've negotiated seven-figure IT contracts as the buyer, and run the managed services business on the other side of the table. Before antics · amaysim and The Missing Link.

ai working sessions

One job from your week, worked through together.

You bring the problem, and we spend 90 minutes on it: which job, which tool, who checks the output. Up to 10 people can join a session. If there's more worth doing, you get a one-page plan and a price.

You bring the problem, we work it through.

The rhythm, in every pack

I bring the plan, the numbers and the follow-up.

Or two sessions a month, $1,000. Month to month, ex GST.

the fine print

The fine print, in plain English.

  • All prices in Australian dollars, ex GST.
  • Month to month. Dial up with a week's notice, move down or stop with 30 days' notice.
  • No exit fees.
  • Extra days are $2,000 each, ex GST. They're agreed before they start.
  • Small jobs are $250 an hour, ex GST.
  • Builds, training or anything with a fixed scope get a price first. Never by stealth.
  • You own everything we build.
  • Unused days roll over.
  • One invoice a month for your pack, plus GST, with a one-page statement of the days used.
  • Extra days and small jobs only start after your yes in writing, and each is its own line on the invoice.

The usual path

Two daysOne dayThe rhythmThen stop

The usual path I plan for: start at two days, settle at one, step down to the rhythm, then stop. The goal is the month you don't need me.

Security basics in every pack. Each pack's first 90 days includes a check of your security basics against the government's Essential Eight: backups, access, MFA and patching. Formal assessments go to a specialist.

questions

Questions about the money.

What counts as a day?

Eight hours in or on your business. A day can be split into two half days. On site means Sydney metro.

Is GST included?

No. Every price on this page is ex GST. GST is added to each invoice at the usual 10%.

What if we don't use our days?

They roll over to the next month. The detail is in your agreement.

How does a day a week work?

The same day every week, on site. Some months have four of that day and some have five; the price stays the same.

Can we change packs?

Yes. Move up a pack or add days with a week's notice. Move down or stop with 30 days' notice. No exit fees.

Do you do fixed-price projects?

Yes. Builds, training and anything with a fixed scope get a price before they start. The two ways to start are fixed price too. Small jobs are $250 an hour, ex GST.

What does it cost all in?

The pack price plus GST, and nothing else unless you agree to it first. On the usual path I plan for, that's $5,000 a month for the first 90 days, then $3,000 to $5,000 while we build, then $1,000, then nothing. Year one comes to about $42,000 to $60,000, ex GST.
